Nazairi Basil | Witcher 3 Blood and Wine (13)

Nazairi Basil is a rare herb in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. It’s a bright green shrub that’s used in alchemical formulas concerning green mutagens – you’ll use it to craft and transmute them. It’s very hard to find, so every little bit counts. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find Nazairi Basil in Witcher 3.

Nazairi Basil Locations

The only place we’ve found this rare plant so far is Corvo Bianco. But there’s a catch – you’ll need to invest some cash in your estate first. In order to get it to grow, you’ll have to buy the following upgrades:

• General Renovations – 5000 crowns
• Greenhouse – 2000 crowns

Once the upgrades are done, teleport to the vineyard and go right, across the stream. Look for the greenhouse next to the garden, where all the regular plants are.

Thankfully, the plants you pick do grow back after some time. If you’re in a pinch, you could pick them, then meditate until they reappear, pick them again and so on. Even if you don’t need them right now, it would be wise to invest in the greenhouse and pick these plants every time you visit the estate, to stock up for when you really need them.

Winter Cherry | Witcher 3 Blood and Wine (12)

Winter Cherry is a rare plant you can use to transmute mutagens in Witcher 3. It’s a small, round fruit, coming from a plant with red flowers growing directly from the stalk. It made its first appearance in Blood and Wine, and it can help you turn blue and green ones into red mutagens. It’s very rare, so you’d best snatch it whenever you have a chance. In this guide, we are going to show you Winter Cherry locations in Witcher 3.

Winter Cherry Location

We aren’t aware of any instances of Winter Cherry growing in the wild. Thankfully, you can grow it in your garden at Geralt’s vineyard. All you need to do is buy some essential upgrades and you’ll be ready to go. Here are the ones you need:

• Estate renovations – 5000 crowns
• Garden – 2000 crowns

You’ll get a nice little greenhouse along with the garden, and that’s where the Winter Cherry fruit can be found. When you arrive at the estate, go under the woooden arches then right. Cross the stream and look for a building enveloped in flowers, right next to the garden.

There are only four bushes growing at Corvo Bianco, but the fruit will grow again if you give it time. If you’re in a hurry, you can meditate until it shows up again (although you might have to leave first). Make a point out of collecting Winter Cherries every time when you’re at your home base, and you’ll have no shortage once you really do need them.

Blue Lotus Flower | Witcher 3 Blood and Wine(11)

Blue Lotus Flower is one of the three mutagen plants in Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. It looks kinda like a daisy, but with purple petals. It’s really hard to find and extremely useful – you can use it in mutagen crafting, to turn other into blue mutagens. This guide will show you how to obtain Blue Lotus Flower in Witcher 3.

Blue Lotus Flower Location

While there’s possible they grow somewhere in the meadows and forests of Toussaint, the only reliable place we’ve found them in is Geralt’s garden at Corvo Bianco. They won’t grow by themselve, however. You’ll need to invest some cash into your new property before you can reap the rewards. Here are the changes you’ll need to order:

• Renovating the manor – 5000 crowns
• Building the greenhouse – 2000 crowns

Once the greenhouse is up and running, you’ll be able to pick all kinds of mutagen herbs in it, Blue Lotus Flowers included. To reach it, simply go to Corvo Bianco and turn right before you reach the house. Go past the stream and you’ll be right in front of it – it’s a small building with flowers growing all over it, directly next to the garden.

Every time you stop by the manor, make sure you check out the garden as well. Gathered herbs grow back slowly, so they’ll be ripe for the picking again after a while. This way, you won’t have to worry about not having enough when the time to use them comes.

Toussaint Steel Sword | Witcher 3: Blood and Wine (10)

Toussaint Steel Sword is one of the new weapons in Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. It’s a level 48 steel blade that offers amazing armor piercing, increased critical hit chance and damage, as well as a chance to cause burning or bleeding. This guide will show you the Toussaint Steel Sword location in Witcher 3, what it does and what it looks like.

Toussaint Steel Sword Location

You can get the diagram for crafting this sword during the treasure hunt quest The Last Exploits of Selina’s Gang. You’ll first need to get a key from the coast south of the cemetery in Beauclair. Travel to Lebioda’s Gate and go direclty west. It will be on a dead body, guarded by several level 35 drowners.

Afterwards, go to Orlemurs cemetery. Descend into the catacombs, go into the main chamber and to the left. You’ll find a couple of containers in the corner. One of them is locked – the key you obtained will open it, and you’ll find the diagram inside.

Toussaint Steel Sword Stats

This is a level 48 relic steel sword, which does 385-471 damage. It gives +250 armor piercing, +75% critical hit damage and +15% critical hit chance. It also has as 15% chance to cause burning or bleeding with each hit. You can insert three runes into it, making it even more powerful. Keep in mind, only a master blacksmith can make it. Here are the materials you’ll need to craft it:

• Leather Scraps x1
• Dark Steel Ingot x2
• Ruby x1
• Amber x2
• Monster Saliva x2

Where to Find Paintings in Blood and Wine | Witcher 3 (9)

Blood and Wine Paintings & Shields are decorative items in The Witcher 3. They can be hanged on the walls of Corvo Bianco, the vineyard Geralt gets in the new expansion. You can either get them as quest rewards, or buy them from art dealers. This guide will show you where to find paintings & shields in Blood and Wine, what they look like.

Blood and Wine Paintings

The first one you can get is The White Wolf, by Count Beledal. It is tied to the quest Big Game Hunter. Count Beledal will give it to you after you complete your task. The notice can appear on several notice boards – we picked it up in front of the Cockatrice Inn. After you’ve finished the quest, accept the Count’s invitation and visit his exhibition in Francollarts a day later. This is when he’ll gift you the photo.

Another painting you can obtain is Geralt’s Portrait, from the painter in the quest The Portrait of The Witcher As an Old Man. You can start the quest by talking to him near the marketplace in Beauclair. He only appears once you’ve finished The Warble of a Smitten Knight. He’ll let you choose between three poses, each with or without a griffin.

If you’ve gotten to the ending where Geralt’s in jail, you can get the Prison Poster. Look for a stash left from the gate, and you’ll find a note, which will start the quest The Perks of Being a Jailbird. Bring a chisel and hammer from the cart across the yard and hide them there. Wait for 7 days, and when you check the stash again, the poster will be inside.

Blood and Wine Decorative Shields

You can also hang shields like they were paintings. You can get the Ancient Elven Shield from a quest called Extreme Cosplay. It’s an item you’ll have to use in order to complete this side mission, but you’ll get to keep it afterwards. It’s a wooden kite shield with a tree symbol on it.

You can get either Sir Geralt of Rivia’s Shield or Ravix of Fourhorn’s Shield during the chivalric tournament in the quest The Warble of The Smitten Knight. When you get the objective to go to the inscription tent and enlist for the tourney, this is where you’ll make the choice. If you choose to enter under your own name, you’ll get the former. If you enter as Ravix, you’ll get the latter.

Witcher 3 Painting Merchant

There’s an art dealer in Beauclair who sells more than a dozen paintings. You can find him next to the grandmaster armorer, south of the Gran’place.

Old Witcher 3 Paintings

You can also use the old paintings from the base game and the previous expansion, if you haven’t sold them already. Here are some of the old paintings you can place in your manor:

• Hierarch Hemmelfart – You can get this one from the halflings in the Isolated Hut, during the A Poet Under Pressure quest (the one where you rescue Dandelion in the base game).
• Starry Night Over the Pontar – You can buy this painting for a measly 20 crowns in the auction during the Open Sesame! quest (in Hearts of Stone).
• Portrait of Iris and Olgierd – You can snatch this from the bedrom in Olgierd manor, while doing the Scenes From a Marriage quest in the first expansion.

Toussaint Armor Location | Witcher 3 Blood and Wine (8)

Toussaint Armor is one of the new outfit sets in Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. It’s a gold-colored plate armor that offers a lot of protection. You’ll have to reach level 53 before you can start wearing this heavy armor set. You can only snatch it in the Land of a Thousand Fables, so it’s easily missable. This guide will show you where to find Toussaint Armor in Witcher 3, its stats and what it looks like.

Toussaint Armor Location

This outfit is located in the Land of a Thousand Fables – you can only reach it during the quest Beyond Hill & Dale. Once you’re in fairy land, look for a lake with a tower in the middle of it. It’s the one where you fight Longlocks. Go to the southern shore of the lake and look for a small pond next to it. There will be a dead body by the pond, wearing the armor you’re looking for.

Toussaint Armor Set Stats

This heavy armor set is meant for level 53 characters. Each piece grants you +450 vitality, quite a bit of protection from piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage, as well as increased resistance to either burning or bleeding. The chest piece has three glyph slots, while the other three have two slots each. Sadly, there’s no plumed helmet to accompany the set, which is the only thing that will stop you from cosplaying as a knight errant. Otherwise, it’s a great set that will allow you to take more than a few hits before you start panicking.

Vitis Relic Steel Sword | Witcher 3: Blood and Wine(7)

Vitis is a relic steel sword in The Witcher 3, added in the Blood and Wine expansion. It’s a rapier made for level 53 characters that increases the intensity of all signs. You can get it during the quest Beyond Hill & Dale and it’s easy to miss. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find Vitis Steel Sword in Witcher 3.

If you choose to go after Syanna in The Night of Long Fangs, you’ll end up in an imaginary place called Land of A Thousand Fables. It is in this giant illusion that you’ll find this amazing sword. When you see a lone tower rising into the sky, head towards it. It’s the one where the Longlocks boss is located.

When you get near it, head for the southern side. Look for a small pond by the lake shore. There will be a corpse between the two bodies of water, with a glowing rapier next to it. That rapier is Vitis, and the body is dressed in Toussaint Armor.

Keep in mind – if you miss it and leave fairy land, you won’t be able to come back and get it. This area cannot be revisited once you leave.

Vitis Relic Steel Sword Stats

Vitis is a level 53 relic steel sword. It does 418-512 damage, which is more than enough, but it also increases the intensity of all five signs by 20%. It has three rune slots so you can further enhance it. It’s a great choice for sign builds – it fortifies your magic skills while giving you a strong blade as well.
